NHHELCO Partners with SimpleTuition to Make College Loan Search Easier

Concord, NH - Finding a student loan has become more complicated in recent months. Market turmoil has altered the student loan industry in drastic ways, only further complicating an already confusing process for students and parents looking to finance a college education. The New Hampshire Higher Education Loan Corporation (NHHELCO) took a major step in reducing the stress of this process for New Hampshire students and families by partnering with SimpleTuition, Inc.

SimpleTuition.com is an independent, online resource for families to compare and analyze student loan options. SimpleTuition remains committed to objective reporting of student loan products by not offering loan products themselves. Students and families can search for loan options to meet their education needs and sort them by monthly payment, total cost of loan, number of payments, first payment due date and annual percentage rate. Borrowers have the opportunity to do a side-by-side comparison of the top loans based on rates and borrower benefits. Once a certain lender is chosen, users are redirected to the lender’s Web site to complete a loan application.

“This partnership will ease a stressful situation for parents and students searching for student loan options,” said Tori Berube, Vice President of Product Marketing. “SimpleTuition gives students and families the essential information they need to make an educated and sound financing decision.”

NHHELCO will be offering federal loan options including Stafford, Graduate PLUS and parent PLUS loans for New Hampshire residents and all students attending a New Hampshire college. To learn more about loan options available through NHHELCO, visit www.nhstudentloans.org or contact us at 1-800-719-0708.

The NHHEAF Network Organizations are comprised of four 501(c) (3) nonprofit organizations that provide students and families with the resources and funding to pursue higher education aspirations. Funds generated by the Organizations make their charitable mission possible as student loan earnings are reinvested in programs and services that benefit citizens of New Hampshire.
