Details on our Secure Messaging System

Normal e-mail is like a postcard; anyone along the path of travel can read it. The lack of security makes regular e-mail a poor choice for communicating your confidential information.

To help protect your privacy, while enabling the convenience of online communications, Granite State Management & Resources (GSM&R) has implemented a secure e-mail system. This system enables us to send and receive encrypted messages with our customers.

Before using the system, you will need two things:

  1. Your e-mail address must be on record at GSM&R. To update your borrower record, contact Customer Service at 800.525.2577 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST.
  2. You must create a secure e-mail portal account on our server. This account and password is separate from your existing GSM&R borrower account. (You will continue to use your existing GSM&R username and password to access your account.)

Protect Yourself
GSM&R will never contact you to request your credentials. If you receive a suspicious message regarding your GSM&R account(s), please forward it to for investigation.

When accessing links contained in e-mail, be wary of "phishing" e-mails that request your account details or direct you to fraudulent Web sites. Protect yourself by closely examining the URL and then copying and pasting any links into your browser. If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of some communication, you can always call a Customer Service Representative at 800.525.2577.
