New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation (NHHEAF)
New Hampshire Higher Education Assistance Foundation (NHHEAF) was established by the banking community in 1962 to guarantee student loans, and from 1965 until 2010, was the designated guarantor for the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) in New Hampshire. Within the Organizations, NHHEAF is responsible for default prevention, default collections, and oversight of the federal loan programs. For the seventh year in a row, NHHEAF has ranked first among guarantors with the nation's lowest default rates.
The Center for College Planning at the NHHEAF Network Organizations is dedicated to providing students and families with valuable information about the college planning process— from savings options and college admissions requirements, to applying for financial aid and scholarships. We serve all students populations: traditional, continuing education, graduate and adult learner. We offer college planning materials and coordinate speakers for K-12 schools, businesses and community organizations free of charge. We provide small group workshops on college planning topics at our Concord, New Hampshire office. Our goal is to promote higher education as the means to achieving personal, career and life goals.
